No registration and no DMV. Equipment used off-road isn't titled or plated, so there's nothing to file after delivery — your Bill of Sale is your proof of ownership. Two things are still worth knowing:
- State sales or use tax. We don't add sales tax to your invoice; your total with us is the machine price plus transportation. Most states do charge sales or use tax on equipment, and it's paid by you directly to your state. Several states exempt or reduce it for farming, logging, mining or manufacturing use, so it's worth asking your accountant before you file.
- Moving it on public roads. Equipment isn't road-legal. If you need to move the machine between sites yourself, that's a trailer and, above certain weights and widths, an oversize permit from your state — check before you plan the move.
